Guadalupe River State Park Haunted Trail
Sat Oct 28 4:30-9:00pm
This event is an annual tradition for Crew 285; that's the group from 2013 above.
The event is hosted by the friends of GRSP. It is for the children of Comal County.
About 1,000 trick-o-treaters will participate!
As fun as it is, this event is considered community service so you will earn 5 service hours by participation.
We will decorate our area with halloween stuff. And as the kids go by we drop candy in their trick-or-treat bags.
(Or rocks if they are bratty...jk...well maybe)
When it is over we clean our site and head for home.
Please bring halloween decorating item. Battery powered decorations that light up are a plus as they make the site cool after dark. Bring at least 5 pounds of candy/snacks/treats to give away. We always run out...if we happen to overbuy we can give it away Halloween night to trick or treaters at home.
There is no fee for this activity.
Jim Lynch and Dr. JT will serve dinner for Crew and guests (salad, fruit, burgers and dogs, chips) between 4:30 and 5:30pm so you can fill up on something other than candy. We will decorate our part of the trail as soon as you are done eating. The actual Haunted Trail runs from 6-8:30, then we need to take down the decorations and head for home. So you will leave the park by 9 and be home by 930...with plenty of time left to watch another episode of Stranger Things!!
Here is the group from last year; can you spot the repeat costume?
