VOA Venturing Cup Challenge and Open House 2015
Seven Venturing Crews from Alamo Area Council participated in the First Venturing Cup Challenge.
There were 10 competitions ranging from frisbee bowling to tug-of-war.
Crew 1 from the Hill Country had just 2 members show so they assimilated into Crew 285 for most of the events. Turns out their Advisor, JD Harrison, was a Philmont Ranger with Mr. Lynch and Dr. JT back in 1977 (the summer the first Star Wars was in the theaters!).
In the end Crew 285 came in third place. Nothing wrong with capturing bronze, but it sure would be nice to take home that cup next year!
