Mr McCulloch's "to build and fire" presentation
Out behind the Scout Lodge Mr. McCulloch put on a demo on building a fire.
He pointed out useful things that can be used for kindling (the dryer lint you were asked to bring to the meeting).
And he discussed various configurations for constructing your fire. He selected the "log cabin" method and showed how to bring the fire to life.
After the fire was underway s'mores were assembled and enjoyed by all.
We ran out of time so we didnt have a chance to let everyone build their own fire, but at an upcoming meeting we will do this, perhaps as a competition.
We closed the meeting, this time around a real fire, at 8PM. But we stayed and ate s'mores and put out the fire.
