March 5, 2016: Mission Reach Trail Hike

Adults: Ms. Aoki, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Vazquez, Dr. JT
We met at Blue Star Complex at 0830
The Mission Reach Trail connects all 5 of the Spanish Missions, from Valero (a.k.a.The Alamo) to Espada
Ours was a 6 mile out and back, so we only had time to see Concepcion.
Trivia: Did you know that the first battle of the war of Texas Independence was fought at Mission Concepcion?
This easy stroll along a paved walkway that crossed the San Antonio River 3 times was a particular milestone for Dr. JT...this was his first hike in 6 years as he has now had his knees replaced. He hopes this is the first of many to come and that he will get much stronger over the next few months.
