Caving Presentation
Ted Lee told us what they had planned for us and then they got started.
Bennett gave a slide presentation on caves in Texas that we might want to consider trying.
The obvious beginner's choice cave is Robber Baron right here in San Antonio. There will be an open house at Robber Baron on Sat Nov 11. Or Mr. Lee said they could arrange a time to take us through that cave.
He then told us about Deep and Punkin Caves, near Del rio, and a host of other caves. He had lots of water features in his images, as those are his favorite.
Then Luke and guest Logan gave a presentation on their mapping experience of a cave in Government Canyon. This fulfilled a requirement of the new Exploration merit badge they are working on. Did you know there are 183 known caves and karsts in Government Canyon Park?
Finally Mr Ted Lee walked us through essential caving equipment. It was an interesting and thorough 3-part presentation' we are very thankful for their time!
