VP Admin Javi led us in the Pledge, the Oath, and the Law and then introduced our guests

Presentation on Galapagos Islands Trip
Aaron gave a great multimedia presentation on the 2014 trip to the Galapagos Islands
The presentation concluded with Mr. Peek singing the ballad "Spanish Ladies" acapella...see what you miss when you miss a Crew 285 meeting!
The presentation was to give the Crew an idea of what the 2018 New Zealand trip will be like.
Mr. Peek is a dive master, and he can arrange time for you to try on equipment and see what it is like to dive in the pool at the dive shop with which he is affiliated. The Oct 8 class is full.

Horseback Riding
When we took the interest survey recently the activity that was the clear winner among activites that we have not yet done was horseback riding.
Jenna S and Alyssa T are working on setting a date and a location. Alyssa asked the members if they would like to turn it into an overnight trip or just s day trip. An overnight trip won.

VOA Challenge Cup
The 2016 VOA Challenge Cup will be Oct 15 at McGimsey.
Crew 285 took the Bronze at the 2015 cup, it sure would be nice to bring home the trophy for Gold this year. We have a much better chance at winning if we have a big turnout. So please put this date on your calendar.
Javi is the VOA president and will be providing us with more details as the event gets closer.
