President Kristin called the meeting to order at 7:09 PM and led us in the Pledge, the Oath, and the Law
Tonight was an Thanksgiving-themed meeting on account of it being 2 days from turkey-day

We collected items for the SA Food Bank.
Alyssa and Jenna T will deliver the items to the Food Bank on Wed Nov 23.

Upcoming events
Officers will meet on Dec 6. The Dec 13 Crew meeting is cancelled as that is final exam week. And rather than a meeting on the 27th, we will have our Holiday Party on the 23.

There will be some door prizes, and perhaps a raffle.

Crew 285 Holiday Party/White Elephant gift exchange/Ugly Sweater contest
Katie will post a food sign-up page for the potluck dinner.
Gifts for the White Elephant should cost no more than $15. Everyone participating in the exchange needs to bring a gift to add to the pile. While gag gifts are always fun, try to select something that will be highly coveted and result in gift theft!
Here is how it works:
We will have a contest to decide who is sporting the ugliest Christmas sweater. The winner gets a bag of awesome gifts (that cannot be stolen!).

- We will draw numbers.
- The person who draws number 1 starts the exchange by opening a gift.
- When your number is called, you can select a gift from the pile, or steal one that has already been opened. If you chose to open a gift, please show it around to the Crew so everyone gets a chance to see what is now available!
- If your gift is stolen, you get to open another, or steal another.
- You cannot steal your gift back immediately, but if your next gift is stolen you can go back to get the first gift.
- A gift can only be stolen 3 times
- The person who draws #1, and opens the very first gift, gets a chance to steal after the last person's turn.
