President Kristin called the meeting to order at 7:20 PM and led us in the Pledge, the Oath, and the Law
Tonight was an America-themed meeting on account of it being election night.

Announcements
Dr. JT acknowledged the outcome of last month's VOA elections: President Alyssa Thomas, VP Program Javi Soza, VP Communication Miranda Potter. This is the third year in a row that Crew 285 members have held the presidency and majority of officers of the Alamo Area Council. Congratulations to Alyssa, Javi and Miranda!
Also, Ms Donna Child has been appointed as the VOA Advisor, a 3 year term. Thank you Donna and congratulations!

Our next meeting in on Nov 22. The theme is Thanksgiving, so wear something Thanksgiving related or your Class A or B uniform. We will collect food for the SA Foodbank at this meeting. Please bring nonperishable items and we will drop them off at the Foodbank the next day. Here is the list of items they need the most.
To reward you for aiding the Foodbank we will have pizza and dessert at this meeting :)

Activity: Ethical Dilemmas
Mr. Lynch and Mr. McCulloch led the crew in the discussion of three dilemmas. The crew was divided into half with one half presenting a Pro argument and the other a Con argument pertaining to the dilemma. The group then reached a consensus after hearing the arguments.
This activity fulfills requirement #6 for the Pathfinder Award.
